All while getting ACVREP CEU’s and connecting with other experts in our field

We are in the year 2020. There is no reason why we should be forced to put up with the hassles of travel just to get CEU's.

If you're like me, being a way from home isn't an option.

Not being able to go to the conferences that weren't in my city made me feel like I was a bad teacher.

Not only was I missing out on the important skills I needed, but my students suffered.

That's when the International O&M Online Symposium was born.

Image not having to track mileage, handle travel arrangements, or pre-pay for your expensive hotel in hopes that your agency will pay you back.

What would it be like to not have to worry about hiring a babysitter to pick up your children, to board your dogs, or how much work you have to get done before you leave town?

The hassles of traveling and being forced to mingle with people you don't really know are a thing of the past.

With the International O&M Online Symposium, you can get all of your continuing education credits for the year- without leaving town!

Wait. Let me repeat that.

All of your CEU's for the year without leaving town.

Have you ever wondered why some O&M Specialists seem like they can handle ANY situation, while others continue to flounder and feel stressed?

It's because the O&M Specialists who have overcome overwhelm and burnout know ONE THING-

Spending time learning about a topic now will save them frustration later.

If you've been stressed out and wondering why your students aren't making the progress they deserve to be making...

Or if you're tired of searching the internet for the answers to your questions only to be let down AGAIN...

You're misusing your most valuable resource- time.

In fact, for most O&M Specialists who feel burnt out, it's because they continue to think they don't have time to spend on professional development and then they try to search Google for answers. Only to be left feeling more burnt out than they already do.

Successful O&M Specialists take professional development opportunities that save them time in the long run. Which also then saves them money. (Talk about #winning!)

THINK ABOUT THIS...

If you make just $40/hour and search the internet for your answers for just 6 hours, you've already wasted $240 of your agency's money. How often do you spend your planning time searching for answers and end up empty handed? I bet it's more than 6 planning periods per year.

And the best part...

Getting to stay in your own town means you get to choose how YOU want to participate.

No more tummy troubles from eating food that you don't really like.

No more canceling students with ASD and hoping that everything turns out okay.

No more worrying about not being able to pick up your kids, dogs, whomever.

Some participants love to stay home, light a fire, and watch the sessions with a hot cocoa in hand.

Other participants have had work parties complete with snacks and sparkling water.

While others have students for half of the day and spend the other half of the day with us.

YOU GET TO CHOOSE HOW YOU PARTICIPATE.

WHAT SOME OF THE 2019 PARTICIPANTS ARE SAYING!

Wow! What an opportunity to learn from great presenters. This is a relatively inexpensive way to attend sessions, earn CEU's, and interact with other Orientation and Mobility Specialists.

Chris Tabb

Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist, O&M Supervisor

Great experience, learning from the comfort of your home. No hotels, no paying for parking or misplacing your room key. Not having to get ready, just make a cup of coffee, grab a blanket and a notepad and you are ready to learn. When you are done with the conference you are able to quickly be home with your family. The speakers were super cool and informative. Why can't all conferences be this cool?

Lauren Nieblas

Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist

Learning more then I realized I didn't know, is what this Symposium is all about! We often think outside the box as part of doing what we do, but with these sessions we learned how to think bigger then the box.  Tips and suggestions that I never thought of are already proving to get me over those plateaus I was struggling with in helping my students.

Judi Lambert

MPA, M.Ed., COMS

I really appreciated the 2019 Symposium. The sessions were very interesting, even though much of it seemed to be more geared to working with children. It was awesome to have an opportunity to get a conference like experience without having to shell out time and money for travel. It was also helpful that there was more time given in order to accomplish all the sessions, so it didn't take away from work demands. Great job!

Thanks for all your efforts to make this happen!

When is the Symposium happening?

The International Orientation and Mobility Online Symposium is set for January 29-31, 2020 from 1:00-7:00 PM EST (These dates are in Eastern Standard Time).

I need to Pay with a Purchase Order or Check. How do I do that?

How can I register a group?

We love groups. Groups are our favorite! It's easier to register groups if you either call us at 512-666-8499 or send us an email at [email protected] with your number and time for us to call you. That way, we do all of the entering of names, and you can get back to doing the things that matter.

Do I have to attend the Symposium in real-time in order to get CEU's?

Our replay videos are also accredited for ACVREP credit for you.

Will we receive ACVREP credit for the symposium sessions we attend?

Yep! You will be able to receive ACVREP credit for all sessions attended live or watching a playback video as long as you answer the CEU quiz form with 100% accuracy. The quiz questions are typically simple and created just to show ACVREP that you didn't just turn the webinar on and walk away.

I need a CEU's from a different organization. How do I do that?

Usually you just fill out your organization's paperwork in advance and request that these sessions be counted towards your CEU's with that organization.

How many ACVREP credits are available for the symposium?

We've got 15 ACVREP credits available for those who attend all of the sessions, not including the Bonus Presentations.

So, how does this work exactly?

Once you pay your registration, you will be sent a confirmation code and a welcome email.

You will receive the links and passwords (if applicable) to each of the sessions in your email inbox no later than 24 hours prior to the start of the symposium. You will also receive your Continuing Education Credit form for each webinar session.

Then, all you have to do is sit down at your computer, enter the links and passwords to the sites, and learn from the most innovative thought leaders in our industry.

How do I get CEUs?

Here's how it happens:

  1. You register for the conference.
  2. Attend the sessions. You can do this either live or by watching the replay in our members-only website. If you watch the sessions live, you just log in on the day and time. If you watch the sessions in the replay, we have access to see if you watch the entire session or skip through to get the codes. FYI: ACVREP has the right to ask for those records.
  3. Submit a CEU form for every presentation you watch. You'll need to put in your beginning and ending codes, and answer a few comprehension questions.

That's it! Your CEU credits will be emailed to you automatically for each CEU form that you answer with 100% accuracy.

Can my friend/colleague and I watch the presentations together?

Yes, you and your friend(s) can watch the presentations together. However, you will each need to register yourselves as individual participants.
